How Company Culture Impacts Productivity

Company culture is a hot topic right now, as organizations scramble to find the perfect blend of efficiencies and employee happiness. Productive individuals know how to work together and produce quality results. When company culture is good, employees thrive and the business runs smoothly. At its best, company culture can positively impact productivity. To know for sure, however, it takes a more in-depth look at company culture.
Companies have a culture because of the people who work there. Even the best-managed companies struggle to maintain culture over time. Culture impacts productivity, and that’s why it’s so important for company leaders to understand and address.
A company culture is the environment of a workplace. This culture is dictated by the people who work there, and it can be influenced by factors like location, management style, employee turnover, and company values. At COE, we have a defined set of Core Values that help define how we lead our business and set the tone for our culture.
Our company aims to create an environment where employees are both happy and productive, and we’ve seen great success in doing so. One way we help our culture thrive is by encouraging Teamwork and peer recognition. We do this through our COE Warrior program, which allows our employees to pass this award on to their peers and recognize them for their hard work.
It’s been shown that a strong sense of company culture leads to higher productivity levels and lower employee turnover rates. A team with a good company culture is willing to try new things, innovate and take risks without worrying about the consequences, which means they can explore opportunities without being afraid of failing. It also means that an employee has no fear in sharing their ideas with others because he or she trusts the other employees will have their back if anything goes wrong. Innovation is almost impossible without failure, so failure can be looked at as progress towards success. A strong sense of company culture fosters Innovation, which means it’s important for companies to have this value at their core, or otherwise risk falling behind competitors in the market. This is why Innovation is also a Core Value at COE.
It’s clear that company culture plays a major role in productivity and success. I hope this post has given you some inspiration for building the company culture that will work best for your team.
